A Brand (or Branding) is the perceived image and the emotional response that your community has to your church or ministry. It also represents the conversation that your community is having about your ministry, and how that spreads. Our Branding Package includes a logo with matching stationery and a simple style guide. These elements provide the groundwork for your community’s perception of your church or ministry.
A great logo is an expression of the company values, culture and people. That’s why we start our branding design with some good, quality conversations. We want to learn as much as possible about your ministry’s culture, values and the way you interact with your community; then we use that as framework for our logo designs.
We sketch and we sketch and we sketch some more. Our goal here is to get rough concepts to paper quickly to see the possibilities and explore different angles. We will pick a handful of really good ideas that clearly stand out from the rest, and will present them you to in their rough form.
The refinement stage is the longest. It involves some back and forth regarding the improvements and changes for the presented logo drafts. This is where we trasfer the sketches to the computer, add color, choose a font and add dimension. Our branding packages includes five refinements. Sometimes our partners will pick just one idea to refine — sometimes they’ll run two or three in parallel just to see where they go.
Once a final logo is chosen we begin to craft a simple style guideline. It will contain the logo, in multiple file formats, the font or fonts used, color palette options, layout guidelines, and more. We do this so that others, down the road, can create designs and marketing materials that will have a cohesive look and feel. We will also begin to design a matching stationery package that includes letterhead, envelope and a business card print ready PDF.
